About Sarah
Sarah Slipp is a composer, flautist, orchestrator, and music teacher from New Brunswick, Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Acadia University in 2022. She graduated from NYU Tisch in May, where she studied as a composer in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. During her time at NYU, she was invited to play flute in a variety of musical ensembles through NYU Steinhardt, such as the Broadway Orchestra. Sarah has written the music for a variety of productions, most notably for Bend Toward the Light with collaborator Bryce Palmer (2025 Syracuse New Works, New Voices Festival). Sarah enjoys writing stories that interrogate the intricacies and complications of familial relationships and the choices that define them. She is passionate about the way that music can be used as its own dramatic language, and help deepen an audience’s experience of a story.
